Now that school is REALLY over for John (for now;)) we wanted to take a family vacation before we move. His brother & his cute wife invited his family up to a cabin in UT. We left Saturday & spent a couple nights with his sister & her family (WE HAD A BLAST! THANKS R FAMILY)
On Monday morning we all headed up to the cabin. What a beautiful drive. Neither of us had ever driven up into the mountains in UT. After taking the wrong turn & ending up half way up the mountain our car wanted to remind us that we were Millers (we always have car troubles) & so it over heated. After letting it cool for a while (grant slept the whole time, which is odd b/c he usually wakes up & screams if the car is stopped) we went back down & found the right road. There were only a few other hills on this road, but they were enough to make the car overheat once again. We had to pack a few things into a family's van & then we were able to drive the rest of the way.
We had so much fun playing games & eating yummy food. I dare say that was the most entertaining game night we've had yet.
I woke up the second morning to find a baby moose out my window.
He was tired
A pretty deer the first day
Almost sleeping
Loves his new seat
(& so does mom)
Now you see why I brag about John being
so amazing b/c he wakes up to this
every morning & still wants to kiss me!
naptime w/ grandpa
(btw...Grant has to cover his eyes every time he falls asleep now)
Mama moose wondered onto the yard the next day
(we never saw baby & mama together...weird)
papa moose next to the deck calling for his woman
tried to take a selfie but we are not so good at it
I tell ya this boy loves to stand
One day we went to a lake & kayaked & played.
I did race John with the kayaks...I won!
This was a much needed vacation for us & we are so happy we went.
It's always bitter sweet to part ways with family. We made some beautiful memories that we'll cherish forever.
As we were heading back into Rexburg we knew it was time to move on to a new place. Crazy to think we'll be moving in a few short weeks. So the posts may not be so regular for a while.
Hope you enjoyed all the pictures!
